The African Australian Football Association (AAFA) recently held a very successful African and CALD Soccer Tournament and Community Festival during the Easter Long Weekend. The purpose of this event was to celebrate our cultural diversity and bring our diverse African and CALD communities together in order to showcase the benefits of cultural diversity, promoting social cohesion and community harmony and above all saying loud and clear that ‘RACISM IS NOT WELCOME! This annual African and CALD Youth Soccer Tournament and Community Festival was just one way we envisage on developing an appreciation for cultural diversity within football (soccer) and the wider community.
